It’s a Blog Life

Here is one of my favorite blogs out there. Conducted by the famous Lauren Conrad! Check her out.

Here are some of the meals I have been eating for the past few weeks. This week I am starting the “17 Day Diet.” I have done this before but never really stuck with it with school and work so I have decided to try it again. Here is the book you can get on amazon for very cheap. I have some friends who have tried this and were very successful with it. Here is a link with more information that explains the diet and what its about. I will post more about it when I start it.

I start off my morning everyday with a piece of toast with peanut butter for a carb and a protein shake with a scoop of chocolate or vanilla protein powder, two tablespoons of PB2, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of honey.

Here are some other breakfasts I have on the weekends as a treat. (With or without the protein shake depending on how much I eat. If I eat more, I won’t have the shake. If I don’t eat a lot and am still hungry, I make the shake.

These are two great and light lunches, remember portion size is important.

Working Out And Eating Right But Still Not Losing Weight

If you are having a similar issue like myself, and feel like no matter what you do or how you do it nothing seems to be working, you’ve come to the right place. I have found myself in this situation many times before as well as right now, and trust me, it gets pretty discouraging. Even when I’m eating right and working out everyday, I can’t seem to kick those calories out of my body. It feels like I’m doing all of this hard work for nothing.

The one thing I have learned the most is that you need to be patient and positive. Nothing happens over night. Losing weight and being happy in your own skin can take time, and usually, longer than you expected. Remember to keep setting small goals for yourself and keep pushing harder and harder each day. Don’t give up so easily and try not to get discouraged. For example, I set the smallest goals for myself all the time, like trying to run a mile without stopping, then once I reach that goal, trying to run two miles without stopping. It doesn’t always happen right away, it takes time and hard work. But its the little things that add to the bigger picture.

Below are a list of a few websites I found with great tips that may help figure out why you aren’t losing weight even with eating right and working out. Below that, are some supportive quotes and motivational pictures to keep you positive and remind you to never give up! (Look at the dates on the last picture) Keep on reaching for your goals!

Over the past few weeks, I have learned that it’s important to keep positive and have a healthy mind, a long with everything else. To do this, you need to surround yourself with positive and happy people who motivate you and lift you up.

The Perfect Pair of Shoes

We all know the saying “don’t judge someone unless you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.” Well, what about your shoes?

Loving yourself. It’s all about being comfortable in your own skin and feeling confident inside and out. Being confident allows you to be free and fearless. Create this life that you have as a positive and wonderful experience because we each only have one, and if you do it right, one should be enough. We may not know other people’s stories and what they are going through, but you know your own. Be positive and happy and spread those vibes to others, especially those who need it. Take care of yourself, being strong, determined, and focused. Be there for those who may not have the shoes you are able to walk in.
